Local groups allow facilitators from the same area to come together and get to know one another. It is through these groups that coordinators can share important announcements.

Join one or more local groups

As a Fresker, you can join one or more groups. You can access all groups from the Community tab > Local groups > Search.

The list will display the groups in order of distance from the location you have indicated.

Local group features

Identify group members

You can access to the group members from the “Members” tab.

• You can identify them by belt level, city or whether they are professional facilitators using the filter, like in the directory.

• You can also sort them by date of facilitation training (= seniority in the community) or date of arrival in the group (= seniority in the group).

Subscribe / unsubscribe from announcement emails

• Local groups contain an announcement feature: country coordinators can post announcements to the entire group. They are archived on the group page.

• By default, you will receive an email notification each time an announcement is posted on a grouB group you are part of.

• To no longer receive email notifications, uncheck the “Receive announcements by email” box as below:

Create a local group

The association creates the local groups, which are then administered by the group coordinators (mostly country coordinators).

🌏 In Around the world, there is one local group per country.

Edit title and description of a local group

As group leader coordinator, you can , click on the modify Button

Then you can edit the name and the description of the group

Example of description:

Welcome to the Vietnam group!

🍻 We meet every first Wednesday of the month for an aperitif at the Factory Local Pub in Vĩnh Phúc, Vietnam

🗓 Next aperitif on Wednesday November 1st

Change location

For local country groups, do not indicate a city. The country group will appear at the top of search results if it is the country of the city

Name other coordinators

You can name other coordinators for the group from the modify button.

The coordinators you name will have the same rights as you: they will be able to modify the group and post announcements.

You can publish communications in a thread which will remain visible to everyone, in the “Announcements” tab.

Some members of the group will have activated the option to receive a notification for each new publication, which implies:

• Avoiding posting new publications too frequently as it might lead to lower visibility and membership from your community

• Taking care of the tone of these communications: they will become the showcase of your local group and its activity!
