Local groups allow facilitators from the same territory area to come together and recognize each other get to know one another. It is through these groups that coordinators can share the most important announcements.
Create a local group
It is the association which creates the local groups, which are administered by the coordinators.
In the world, there is one local group per country.
We will evolve this functionality according to the needs encountered and your development requests.
Join one or more local groups
As a Fresker, you can join one or more groups. You can access all groups from the Community tab > Local groups > Search.
Enter your city
Click on a city from the list

The list will display the groups in order of distance from the location you have indicated.

You can access to the group members from the “Members” tab.

You can identify them by belt level, city or whether they are professional facilitators using the filter, like in the directory.
You can also sort them by date of facilitation training (= seniority in the community) or date of arrival in the group (= seniority in the group).
Subscribe / unsubscribe from announcement emails
Local groups contain an announcement feature: country coordinators can post announcements to the entire group. They are archived on the group page.
By default, you will receive an email notification each time an announcement is posted on
a group you are
part of.
To no longer receive email notifications, uncheck the “Receive announcements by email” box as below:
You must be a member of the group to see its other members, from the “Members” tab.

The association creates the local groups, which are then administered by the group coordinators (mostly country coordinators).

For local country groups, do not indicate a city. The country group will appear at the top of search results if it is the country of the city

You can name other coordinators for the group from the edit panel modify button.

You can publish communications in a thread which will remain visible to everyone, in the “Announcements” tab.
Image AddedSome members of the group will have activated the option to receive a notification for each new publication, which implies:
Avoid Avoiding posting new publications too frequently at the risk of losing as it might lead to lower visibility and membership from your community
To take Taking care of the form and tone of these communications (especially those which do not come from you): they will become the showcase of your local group and its activity!
